I worked at a startup at my last company where the CTO would give me “special assignments” to come up with proof of concepts that wouldn’t require him to go through the “process” - product managers, sales, project managers, etc. I wasn’t expected to know everything. I was expected to pull in the right people. Now that I work at BigTech, why would I struggle trying to figure out how something works on one of the hundreds of cloud products for more than a $Timeboxxed period of time when I literally can reach out to the team who wrote the service? |
