The only problem (if you consider it problem) is when protonmail started the service, in addition to the password and 2FA, there’s an extra password for the mailbox itself, which they “merged” later both the email and mailbox passwords when they introduced the .com one, so all new email needs one password, old .ch ones need two passwords.
