> And today, no Russian nuclear weapons are targeted at an American city. That's such an odd statement for the White House to make. I have to assume that they meant that on a political level. Nobody was interested in MAD anymore at the time and nuclear weapons suddenly felt like relics of a bygone era. It's not like they went to every installation and removed the targeting data in whatever form. |
