Even if they're all "old" pennies with $0.02 worth of Copper, you can't legally melt them down. This means they're still just worth a cent, and like turtleyacht pointed out, that's only worth $10,000. Nobody is going to pay 2.5x times the price for some really old pennies found in a random basement. Especially since that's around 5,500 lbs of coins to move! |
