Not a fan of the whiny tone. It's not anyone else's job to make you feel welcome. The same goes for immigrants anywhere, including America.

As an immigrant to the US myself, it took me close to 10 years to “Americanize” and get adjusted to the US cultures and norms. And this was while I was living in a diverse city. Expecting to adjust to a new country in 18 months in a small conservative town is unrealistic at best.
