Pretty sure the trick there is to just take a trickle, not try to get a flood of income out of wealth taxation. NO amount of this is going to be acceptable to the wealthy, but there's gonna be a threshold between resentful grumbling and panicked flight, and that threshold is not at zero. And the usefulness of a wealth tax kicks in WAY closer to zero than the panic flight threshold is. |
