I spent years managing restaurants and now develop apps and UI using web technologies. Being one of the few who truly understand both the needs of a packed, high-end restaurant/bar/club as well as the technology behind it, this is a problem I've wanted to solve my entire life. There is still a huge opportunity here as I can tell from this article and the comments.
