I use ShareX and I use OBS - there doesn't seem to be a huge overlap in functionality? ShareX - screen capture and screen recording. OBS - streaming (and lots of related functionality). I'm guessing you were using OBS for screen recording - but that's not really close to it's core feature set. |

OBS' ability to compose a whole scene, dozens of different capture methods, overlays, full audio mixer, transitions, etc. It's the perfect place to record any sort of desktop-based video. It's far far more than just "screen recording".
