I understand his point with gigantic messy software, but a lot of software you can actually learn the problems of how it was coded the first time and do it better the second time. It is very situation dependent on whether the messiness is a result of bug fixes that will have to be reapplied, or because the system was built when no one had a clue how to build it. |
