You've missed the point. The GP is saying that consuming data at random does not contribute towards the things they personally prioritize in life.

Understandable given the url and post title. Person is thinking, man what would matter in life right now is intravenous caffeine, let’s see what “sexdrugssuicide.com” can help me with. And shockingly, it didn’t really change their life after all. I hate that.
And yet they still took the time to write out a comment explaining their conclusion. Maybe they are not quite there yet on their priorities!
I fail to see the hypocrisy in the above comment, but maybe you can clarify your reasoning.
I probably missed their point because I reject their point entirely. Whimsy and curiosity for it's own sake are absolutely vital for your well being. That is the essence of being well cultured.
Putting recreational drugs in your butt is surely the pinnacle of culture.
