Because the Camry is a pretty classic example of a car that goes forever and maintains its value. If someone wanted to replace their sedan for an electric one, the Model 3 is the closest bang for their buck they can get, and is also one of the top (right behind the Model Y) EVs in the US. Granted the Model S is the real Sedan counterpart to the Camry, but I think it's interesting that a Camry is now at the point where it's more expensive than a Tesla. That was unimaginable to me years ago. |
