Ask HN: Why has my launch been successful on other platforms but not on HN?

I've released a framework last month, getting a decent number of GitHub stars (400+) and some hardcore fans. It was very well received on Reddit and other communities, but didn't get a single upvote on HN. Anyone has any tips? I'm guessing it has something to do with target audience, but the difference is astonishing.

Could be timing. Sometimes things get picked up as they go by in "New" and sometimes they get missed.

It's also possible as you say that it's the audience or community. There are definitely types of things that people here get excited about (say, a minimal css framework) and other that people either don't care or are fatigued by (AI).

Edit: and the first time you posted, it was blocked (marked [dead]) because you signed up and then posted something right away, so nobody saw it.

I thought that was the case about the first time, hence the repost. Although I didn't know for sure, hadn't heard about the [dead].

I guess I'll try again in a few months with a different messaging, perhaps highlighting developer experience, thanks.

IMHO HN is about problem-solving as a process. Other platforms are about product ideas as a result.
This makes a lot of sense
