To me, this is the biggest thing that makes the Facebook/Instagram comparison problematic. Reddit's history is built on the backs of 3rd party apps, and they've long been part of the core ethos of the community. The same can't be said for the Meta properties, and so I'd argue we're seeing something different/worse here. |
