That's weird, I worked at home for 12 years in a small company. We wrote software that sold 2 million copies, but I guess it doesn't work

That doesn’t sound super successful.
That was successful for the 80/90's and actually I mis-spoke, we sold a million and a million were estimated to be pirated
Depends how much they're selling it for, support contracts, etc. With the right combination of those, 2MM copies could be amazing.
Compared to what? Do you think all companies are FAANG?

Palantir is valued billions and they've only sold a dozen copies of their software, so...
