According to the article, the author no longer used this project. It was no longer front of mind. There is a massive difference between reviewing a PR when you are actively involved in a project and reviewing one when the project is in your past. In that case, it’s perfectly reasonable to spend a couple of hours getting back into code you wrote a long time ago. If anything, taking that time is a big win for overall project stability. |
