FWIW, I always got my best 'raises' by switching jobs. Often times exponentially larger raises than I would have gotten sticking around. A good company that values you will say yes to a raise. The fact that they say no means either a. they don't value you, or b. they can't afford to pay you fairly. Neither of those things is a good sign... |
