GPT-3 AI engine was launched in 2020. My understanding is that the Wall Street private equity firms asked the startups they funded to dress up their AI in the nicest clothes (chatGPT web layer on top of GPT-3) and show up in public (near stock market bottom Nov'22) in order to engineer a hysteria around AI so as to keep the tech bubble going in a high interest environment via short squeezes. It’s not going to replace anything in the near future and this hype is just a way to delay the tech collapse. |
