I watched some talking heads discussing this earlier this morning. The analyst they had on said "we all know that the internet needs more moderation". All I could think was, do we really know that?

They claimed the only reason we haven't 'solved' that problem yet is that there hasn't been a good alternative proposed which wouldn't break the internet.

I find all of this just absurd. Their stated claims amount to saying they want to make the internet safe from people...
