I've been reading that this change (hub and spoke to decentralized) was already a big effect of COVID. I like trains, but an alternative could be electric buses, with Uber Pool-like dynamic routing. I'm not sure how the speed would compare, but, it gets pretty wild when you consider what's possible with mobile phones, AVs, and electric vehicles. I for one, am excited by this. |
