As far as I can tell, the entire premise of this article is based on a model, not any empirical measurement of Manhattan actually sinking. The article then tries to distract us from examining its thin thesis too critically by connecting it to the effects of climate change. Besides, isn’t lower Manhattan made of bedrock, not sand? Nothing to see here, move on. |
