But I guess milking those who can't set up a simple DNS ad blocker (you wouldn't believe how many people don't even use a browser ad-blocking extension) is too pretty of a penny. |

Honestly, even using the default smart TV OS in most cases isn't really that obtrusive. I don't do it anymore but when I did I really didn't mind.
