Cowen has been inviting AI doomsayers to share their models and assumptions, so we can all have a reasoned debate and discussion about them. Instead, Cowen says, most of these doomsayers have been writing "these very long pieces online, which just stack arguments vertically and raise the level of anxiety" -- without actually providing information that everyone could use for evaluating the validity of those arguments. It's hard to disagree with Cowen here.
