Lots of mail clients and messaging apps detect domains and helpfully turn them into clickable links. None of the ones I use for work are doing this for .mov or .zip (yet), but I'm sure something will at some point and it will become a target for phishing. > Windows has hidden file extensions by default now for decades. Thankfully this is easy to turn off. I hate it, and it makes me mad for a few seconds each time I get a new machine/OS install. |
