Wikipedia is not an authorative source and the open source foundation is just some people who decided to name their org that.
But there is no contradiction to wikipedia definition. The fact that there are optional non-OSS components doesn't make the whole thing non-OSS.

It's not that different to using linux with non-OSS modules.
