Ask HN: How do I find a good mentor while stuck at home?
1 points by zeynepevecen 1139 days ago
So, I started college and my developer career during lockdown, and now, with an earthquake in my country, my school's still remote. I've had the chance to work with some amazing people, but none of them were doing what I was doing, since I've always been part of small teams. I feel like having a mentor could really help me out, but I've seen some HN posts suggesting that online mentors aren't that great. They say it's better to know someone in real life and build a deeper relationship with them.

What would you guys do if you were in my shoes? Appreciate suggestions.
