Induction tops are orders of magnitude superior to coil-based stovetops, and are viable and possibly superior replacements for gas tops despite the cookware limitations and other issues; when their control schemes mature (no capacitive touch) and prices come down to the point of attainability for the unwashed masses they will be welcomed. But, coil-based electric tops are an embarassment for anyone that sells them, installs them, and "uses" them. |
