The first time I've put on a VR headset was for vestibular rehabilitation. They had different simulations to fight dizziness, although in the end my cause was different so it had little (positive) effects on me.

But it really opened me to the possibilities of the tech outside of gaming and consumer applications. It can probably have a massive impact in cognitive behavioral therapy or for training (I believe I spotted a few setups to train soldiers to use Javelins in Ukraine)

Thanks for sharing your experience with VR, and highlighting the potential impact of this technology beyond gaming and consumer applications. It's fascinating to see how VR is being used for medical purposes such as vestibular rehabilitation, and I agree that the possibilities for cognitive behavioral therapy and training are enormous.

I would love to hear more examples of how VR and AR are being used in novel and innovative ways, particularly in fields that might not immediately come to mind. It's exciting to think about the potential for these technologies to transform the way we approach healthcare, education, and even workplace training.
