Vendors are putting out updated BIOS that limit voltage going to the chips. Based on internet hearsay, even some of the non-OC chips were getting wrecked by stock BIOS overvolting enough. The real concern is with the X3D chips which are particularly sensitive to voltage and not particularly meant to be overclocked. I think you're fine as long as you flash an updated BIOS put out by your MB manufacturer. |
