Create react app shouldn’t even be recommended. I would rather people just get into NextJS directly if they truly want to learn React

Agree, though Vite is more the spiritual successor to CRA. That NextJS Dev X though is next-level.

CRA is on life support. It's for old apps that are tightly-coupled to its webpack override system and service worker registration. Don't put new, healthy apps on it.
