I think this is pretty cool, but just to clarify context and ask a question... From what I understand here is that this is a directory of services which you may mount on to a system running Plan 9?

As far as I understand, Plan 9 OS was developed by Bell Labs all the way back to the 1980s with the final edition being released 2002 by the new IP holder Lucent Technologies and they've been licensed now into the public domain. It was intended as a UNIX evolution with some innovations around standardized interfaces around mounted file servers and a focus on graphics.

Plan 9 is still alive - the 9th International Workshop on Plan 9 (iwp9) starts tomorrow at the University of Waterloo, ON, Canada:

I believe on windows WSL2 uses 9p mounts, and perhaps docker desktop as well. Now I'm curious about the performance and ability to mount from this registry on those platforms.
