+1 on the reusable components -- I think Figma's library is something that really helped them scale across orgs (this is one of the big barriers to collaborating on the Microsoft Office suite rn)

are there plans to allow components to be sourced from other systems (e.g., a CSV hosted remotely)

Figma components was a big inspiration! Remote hosted CSVs is an interesting idea. We have discussed creating shared canonical data sets across various files that you can request updates to, which I think would solve a similar issue.
