Ask HN: Where do you find current blogging platforms lacking as a developer?

The big-name blogging platforms currently on the market aren't catered to the needs of hackers.

  - I don't know of any blogging software that provides built-in integration for your GitHub account.
  - Current blogging software has too many options. All I need to do is post my article, possibly give it a thumbnail, and maybe add a few tags for easier browsing.

Where do you find current blogging platforms lacking, as a developer? If you were going to hack together your own blogging software, what would you include?
