That last part is what I’m expecting: a lot of developers have been able to convince ourselves that our interests are aligned with upper management’s due to above-average pay and treatment, but that view is pretty heavily skewed one-way and a lot of companies resent the labor cost and lack of obsequiousness. Those places are going to see this as an opportunity to lower wages trying to turn the job into “just cleaning up what GPT creates”.
