A considerable portion of the UK population lives outside London, and a lot of areas aren't necessarily the wealthiest in the world - meanwhile, with companies like Samsung and Google providing decent mid-range devices at much more affordable prices than most of Apple's lineup, they tend to do pretty well here. I will, however, point out that from the statistics I've seen Apple has roughly half of the market share, with Samsung at about 30% - a pretty decent lead. |
