I was ready to install it when I clicked the link, until I saw the persona thing. Feels super bizarre and it's a huge turn-off. I dunno, maybe it's just me.
I agree with this. I’d rather just see descriptive traits rather than anthropomorphised characters. The personas with avatars reminds me of AI role playing apps like Replika and TavernAI, not in a good way.
Would AI generated avatars work? If you install the extension you'll see that it uses different images then on the landing page. Or would you go with just icons?
Thank again for the feedback. I went with images of some cute robots and it indeed feels better than realistic photo's. I'm launching the updated version on ProductHunt today: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/teamsmart-ai
Yea I should have updated the landing page before posting about it. Btw their is nothing to upload. It's only a client-side application. No data is being stored accept on your local device.

Good idea. Btw if you install the extension you will see that I had already replaced the human pictures with pictures on AI generated images. They are still faces, but you can clearly see that they are not real people.
I think cute little robots or even just animated characters would land better than this realistic avatars. I don't want the AI to feel human, but it can still have a "personality". WALL-E vibes come to mind.
Yeah, I like this and other similar suggestions. Either generic task-related icons, or if you're going to personify them in some way, use bots or something similar.
Some friends run a platform called Transloadit, and they used to use little bot icons[0] for each of their processing jobs, and that seems to have worked well for them.
Hm yea I indeed, guess that could also work. For most roles I'll be able to find a icon. Would you say just show those icons + roles by default and through the whole "Team" idea out the window? The name/domain/concept is kind of already focussed on that. But yea, if people don't like it it's better to make changes.
Got any ideas for a different approach? It would still need to support different "roles" you can chat with. Based on the role it gives different answers. Like one could summarize your current page, while another can generate HTML/Tailwind elements.
Thanks for the feedback
