“Trump played the same game Clinton did in 2016 by appealing for change” is only slightly different to “Trump played the same game Clinton did in 2016 by announcing a candidacy and asking for votes”. All candidates pledge change of some variety. They were both radically different candidates. And they certainly didn’t blend celebrity and politics in the same way: Clinton was in the senate for two terms before she ran! |
