Actually there are lots of (mostly ex-) monastic breweries in Germany - just searching for "Klosterbrauerei" in Google Maps gives me 7 results in Bavaria alone, and there are others that are apparently under Google's radar, like this one also pretty near to Munich https://klosterbrauerei-reutberg.de . Not to mention the beer brands that are named after monks, but no longer affiliated with them (Augustiner, Paulaner, Franziskaner, ...) |
