Sorry to hear yet another big layoff. Good luck to those impacted. But, I don't always quite understand how Indeed is popular. For one, the UI is very 1990s. While simplicity has benefit, the presentation looks horrible and unauthentic. Like I always fear clicking on some sponsored ads leading to a malicious website, as if I am viewing Craiglist. My understand is Indeed attracts mostly "lowered-paid" job seekers, which might explain the popularity. LinkedIn, I feel, at some point started trending toward professional (and I hate the word professionals, because a carpenter is a specialist, carpentry is a skilled profession). |
