Papers and patents are becoming less disruptive over time
4 points by Mugiballa7 1186 days ago
Hello everyone, I read this interesting article (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-022-05543-x) on the decrease of the disruptive impact of science over time. This surprised me at first given the number of startups and predictions that are made about the future. I find that it raises important questions about how we can accelerate progress and innovation. I look forward to your thoughts.

I have lost with attempt to find what is CD index. I suppose something might be wrong with the metrique. If you have read the paper and realize that something excternal is needed to understand it, why you did not tell this?
hey, my question was about the substance (i.e. how to accelerate progress) and not the form (research method), even if the two are not inseparable. (And precisely, the CD index is created within the article to measure the innovative impact of the productions).
Then, my answer is just to learn STEM and help others with it.
