Uniscuit would be bread. Biscuit translates to "twice cooked" in French. This is similar to biscotti which translates to the same thing in Italian. Fun fact that many French and Italians don't even realize.

One letter too many: bi-cuit.

Languages evolve over time and add random letters between words. Also bis = twice in Latin.
