Looks like Dropbox may be looking into other options for maintaining MacOS compatibility but still allowing for DB files to sit on external drives (which is very helpful for implementing 3-2-1 backups). See https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34650987 for discussion on why this change was problematic. |
