No, I wouldn't be more interested in leaving a job for a week, but there are those working on their own thing (or, shock, not working). My main point was that there are other ways to gauge how well an Engineer can write (and deliver) code. Its great that you've never turned down an candidate due to lack of a code sample. I think passing on someone over such a thing is a bit unwise. |
