Off-screen buttons ruin the "touch the app" magic of touchscreen direct interaction. The screen is the app and the app is the screen. Therefore, any button outside the screen is not part of the app! BTW, I used to agree with you but experience changed my mind: I once used an Android timer app for months without pressing the menu button. |
