That's one of the beauties of IT work - for almost all of us, unless you shoot your own foot continuously, maybe 95% of our skillsets are easily transferrable not only to another employer, but also to another domain. Of course if you willingly position yourself to some tiny niche that makes you unfireable or just follow your passions unchecked, you may end up in similar situation... an advice, for an easy life don't do that, rather accept potentially slightly lower pay and enjoy life more, its anyway damn too short |
