Ask HN: YouTube no longer in Google search results?

When I search Google for YouTube, the homepage doesn't appear in search results. Tested on various VPNs. Anyone else seeing this?

Yeah, I've noticed that. Actual videos on the site come up for relevant queries, as for pages on the YouTube site when you search for them (like YouTube Help). But just 'YouTube' on its own doesn't seem to bring up the home page, or just about anything from the domain.

Same here. Really interesting. The same goes for https://www.google.com/search?q=youtube.com

lol that is funny. If you search for youtube and click the video tab, only one video is shown at the bottom of the page.

I get blog.youtube as the closest thing, as well as assorted harry styles videos recommended.
