But unlike JavaScript (and Node.js), I don't know of anyone who uses Emacs out of the belief that Emacs Lisp is a language with which they should be building large-scale applications. It is strictly a client-side language and it is used as such. In fact, Emacs Lisp is actually a pretty good client-side language. Not that it is perfect, but I find it more enjoyable to use than JavaScript. |
