They put excess of 250k because of the expectation of a higher return. Depositors took the risk when they deposited the 250001the dollar into the account. SVB owners lobbied to reduce regulation, won, and now they got what they asked for. Account holders should have their 250k covered and not a cent more unless the owners/shareholders of SVB foot the bill. |
