All vaccines harm a tiny fraction of people who get them in exchange for protecting the population from terrible diseases. Life is all about trade-offs and vaccines are one of the best trade-offs ever.

I'm not sure I would drive a car if there was a 50% chance it would mess with my menstrual cycle.

Unfortunately this vaccine doesn't prevent against infection, so it only works as a temporary prophylactic.
What do you mean? Vaccines work by preparing the immune system before a real infection so that the real virus can be destroyed before it causes too much damage.
