Ditto on the timeless appeal. Watching this auto pilot reminded me of landing Getaceiver on Barsoom in Heinlein’s Number of the Beast, which has a very long passage describing the (fictional) orbital mechanics landing on (a fictional alternate reality version of) Mars. |
