Ok, I'll bite. I rarely buy a cable and the $30 charger at the store I'm already in is cheaper and easier than hunting for a deal or checking that the cable on Amazon is actually trustworthy. Apple certifying the cables for their devices? Sounds good to me. USB-C is open...for people to mess up.
